Nashville comes to Asheville for an intimate evening of Folk & Americana music at its best. Join us as three of Nashville’s storytellers play Isis Music Hall’s Main Stage.

Josh Gray

https://www.joshgraymusic.com/

Josh Gray is a storyteller at heart, bridging both generations and genres to form his signature sound. His thoughtful and often poetic lyrics stick with you long after the songs end. His music is a blend of the folk, blues, country and rock that first inspired him to pick up a guitar. Josh's new album "Songs of the Highway" was funded entirely by fans and released to international acclaim in April 2019. His love of travel and playing music is evidenced in these lyrics from the title track, “there ain’t no regrets beatin’ in my chest, wouldn’t have it any other way, so I’m singin’ to the wind, these Songs of the Highway.”

Jason Erie

https://www.jasoneriemusic.com

“Hyper-sensory storytelling with raw, hard-hitting images and a white-knuckle worldview that seems best cultivated in the Garden State, Jason’s stories and his songs are ultimately and triumphantly his own. He is not afraid to expose the tragic grit or the chrome-facaded fragility of his own life or of life in general. Beneath the richness of his storytelling, it is his unabashed dedication to truth, in its many forms, that makes Jason special.” -- Producer, John Dennis

Americana artist Jason Erie was born and raised in Bergen County, New Jersey, but has found his voice in Nashville, TN. After five years spent fronting New-York-based rock band Waking Up East, Jason moved to Nashville with his wife and newborn son.

Jason's debut record is being praised as a must-hear in the Nashville community and beyond. Recently # 26 on the Roots/ Americana radio charts “The Art of Letting Go” was written about addiction and the loss that Jason endured growing up in a broken home, raised by an alcoholic mother. After she got sober, she opened up a halfway house in their tiny one-bedroom apartment. What resulted in Erie is an appreciation for life and the heartache that comes with it.

John Dennis

http://www.johndennismusic.com

John Dennis is a Nashville, TN based singer songwriter signed to Rainfeather Records. He has developed his own unique brand of Americana music that, at once, harkens back to some of folk music's greatest lyricists, namely: Paul Simon, Bob Dylan, Tom Petty, and James Taylor, while also carving out a musical place that is uniquely his own. He will release his third full length record, "Mortal Flames" in January 2020, and, like the two that came before, it represents a substantial creative work brimming with an extraordinary maturity for a writer still in his twenties-- both in the complexity of his craft and the courageous transparency of his subject matter. By never shying away from revealing his own scars, such as the tragic death of his girlfriend in 2010, his subsequent near fatal struggle with alcoholism, and his road to recovery, Dennis creates a deep human connection with his music and has an uncanny ability to provide an incredible testimony of hope and redemption that can only come from those that have found their way out of life's most tragic and consuming darknesses. His work has been acclaimed by American Songwriter Magazine, The Alternate Root, and many others. For an artist who seems to run so deep, and whose authenticity plants him so firmly on the ground, the sky seems to be the limit for John Dennis.
