Clarinetist Steve Loew and pianist Daniel Weiser present another exciting concert highlighting connections between Jewish Klezmer music and American Jazz

Steve Loew & Daniel Weiser


Steve Loew, clarinet, is a former member of the U.S. Marine Band and a member of the White House Orchestra who has performed for President’s Ford, Carter, Reagan, and Bush Senior. A graduate of the Juilliard School of Music, Mr. Loew has also played with the New York Philarmonic, the National Symphony Orchestra, and has collaborated with such artists as Marvin Hamlisch, Doc Severinsen, Roberta Flack, Meatloaf, Barbara Cook, and Johnny Mathis. Mr. Loew was born in Brooklyn, NY and now lives in Asheville, NC.

Daniel Weiser, piano, founder and Artistic Director of AmiciMusic, has performed chamber music in great concert halls around the world, including Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall, the National Gallery of Art, and the Cairo Opera House. Dr. Weiser has a Doctorate in Piano from the Peabody Conservatory and was the 1996 American Ambassador of Music for which he toured the Middle East and Southeast Asia. He also spent a year at Harvard Law School at the same time as former President Obama. He has recorded fifteen CDs and has taught at Dartmouth College, Longy School of Music, Johns Hopkins University, and St. Paul’s School. He has coached opera for Asheville Lyric Opera, Opera North and Da Corneto Opera. Weiser is a native of Buffalo, NY who now lives in Baltimore, MD with his wife, Kisha, and twin 11-year old daughters, Emma and Sophie.
