From humble beginnings in the folk clubs of San Francisco, to hundreds of concerts across thousands of miles, Quiles & Cloud give voice to the landscape of modern America with the timeless blend of storytelling, vocal harmony and acoustic instrumentation. BEYOND THE RAIN, produced by Compass Records co-founder and GRAMMY-winning banjoist Alison Brown, is Quiles & Cloud’s debut record with the label. Their poetic minimalism and pristine harmonies bring to mind bands like Iron & Wine and The Weepies, but their musical portraits of American landmarks such as Deep Ellum and the Rio Grande are distinctly their own.

Quiles & Cloud

Quiles & Cloud are an award-winning modern acoustic roots duo based in San Francisco, CA. Maria Quiles & Rory Cloud started the project in 2011 and found an instant blend together that was too good for either of them to ignore. In July 2012, Maria and Rory released their first studio album, Long Time Coming (produced by Grammy-winning engineer Steve Horowitz), and have since been writing, recording and touring constantly all across the United States.

The duo later joined with Bay Area bassist Oscar Westesson, who quickly became a prominent fixture in the band. In 2014 the group recorded their second studio album, Seminole Star, with 5-time Grammy nominated producer Cookie Marenco in Belmont, CA. The new album can be downloaded or streamed at
