An evening of heart-stirring melody and evocative lyrics about love, loss, and home from Asheville songwriter Hannah Kaminer and Bristol troubadour JP Parsons.
Hannah Kaminer · 7:00PM
Hannah Kaminer is a folk/Americana artist based in Asheville, NC. Raised in small towns in western North Carolina, she fuses echoes of Appalachian traditions with wistful, Americana-style songwriting. Her yearning voice and silvery melodies are a haunting pairing with gutwrenching lyrics about love, loss, and home.
Her second studio album, "Heavy Magnolias," was released in March 2018, supported by a Regional Artist Project Grant and a successful Kickstarter campaign. Collaborating with the members of her band, Heartbreak Highlight Reel, Kaminer co-produced the album with GRAMMY-award winning engineer Julian Dreyer of Echo Mountain Studios. Kaminer has been described as "a folk singer with a voice like few others" (Mountain Xpress), "among the region's bright young voices" (Blue Ridge Public Radio), and as having a "crystalline voice, with just a touch of Appalachian lilt" (Bill Kopp, Mountain Xpress).
