Richard Shulman


Richard Shulman creates music that is intended to be a positive influence for himself, his audiences, and society. Bringing beauty into the world is his passion, and the expression of inspiration among those he works with provides a fertile field for creativity.
Trained in the classical field, Richard first worked as a rock musician and then a jazz pianist. He has performed at Carnegie Hall, Art Park, the United Nations, the Kool Jazz Festival, The Amenia Peace Festival and a wide variety of other venues throughout North America and in Europe. He has composed music for orchestra and jazz quartet, and has performed on more than a dozen
albums by others.
Born and raised in Niagara Falls, New York, Richard graduated from the University of Rochester with a double-major Bachelor’s Degree in Music (piano performance) and Psychology. While at Rochester, Richard also attended the prestigious Eastman School of Music and studied jazz improvisation with Chuck Mangione and Marian McPartland, arranging with Rayburn Wright, orchestration with Donald Hunsberger, and arranging with the legendary Rayburn Wright. Shulman continued his studies in jazz with Frank Foster, composition with William Kothe and Lejaren Hiller, and piano with Yvar
Mikashoff while getting his Masters Degree in musical composition at the State University of New York at Buffalo. During those years he played onstage in concert with such jazz stalwarts as Thad Jones, Eddie Gomez, Pepper Adams, Jerry Dodgion, Freddie Hubbard and Al Harewood, and recorded his first jazz album, Wonder.
Richard continued his studies in jazz with Frank Foster while getting his Masters Degree in Musical Composition at the State University of New York at Buffalo. He has performed with Thad Jones, Eddie Gomez, Pepper Adams, Jerry Dodgion, Freddie Hubbard, Al Harewood, Ron Carter, Grady Tate, The Richard Reiter Swing Band, Providence, Crossing Point, Mr. Spats and Bobby Previte, among many others. He has released 20 albums, including his award winning Camelot Reawakened: A Vision Fulfilled.
He now resides in Asheville, NC, and performs extensively throughout the area. He is well-loved and respected by his audiences and fellow musicians everywhere.

Justin Ray


Justin Ray has been a professional musician for almost 20 years. While attending the Berklee College of Music in Boston, he began to earn a reputation as a fiery and compelling trumpet soloist, comfortable in a wide variety of styles. After finishing his degree, Ray relocated to Los Angeles and quickly became one of the most in demand musicians in the region. He performed regularly with jazz legends like drummers Dave Weckl and Peter Erskine, vocalist Kurt Elling, pianists Bill Cunliffe and Alan Pasqua, and a host of others. In 2003, Ray accepted an offer from Warner Bros. recording artist Michael Buble to join his group. Ray has lent his musical talents to Buble in a number of ways ever since, as an instrumentalist, vocalist, composer, arranger, etc. He has toured 45 countries, appeared on Grammy-winning recordings, and has performed at some of the most prestigious venues in the world, such as Madison Square Garden, the Sydney Opera House, Radio City Music Hall, and the Hollywood Bowl. Ray has also made a number of TV appearances, including multiple performances on The Late Show with David Letterman, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, The Oprah Winfrey Show, and Saturday Night Live.
