Red Rover Booking and Isis Music Hall present The Asheville Opry.  Inspired by local WNCW radio program “Country Gold”, the program features Western North Carolina artists performing classic country tunes from World War II to Watergate. Merlefest Song Competition finalist and winners Hannah Kaminer and Alexa Rose, along with local old-school favorites The Old Chevrolette Set will pay tribute to the likes of Patsy Cline, Loretta Lynn, Johnny Cash, Dolly Parton, George Strait, Hank Williams, and more, with toe-tapping standards, classic anthems, and beloved waltzes. Staying true to the Grand Ole Opry theme, the series will once again be hosted by staple emcee and Asheville-based musician Lo Wolf.

Hannah Kaminer · 7:30pm

Hannah Kaminer is a folk/Americana artist based in Asheville, NC. Raised in small towns in western North Carolina, she fuses echoes of Appalachian traditions with Americana-style songwriting. Her cloudless voice and wistful melodies are a haunting pairing with gutwrenching lyrics about loss, love, and home. Kaminer's songwriting has won her awards from the Chris Austin Songwriting Contest at MerleFest (2019), the Asheville Regional Arts Council (2017), the Harrison Center for the Arts (2015), and Asheville's Brown Bag Songwriting Contest (2013). She released her sophomore album, Heavy Magnolias, in 2018. Hannah will be accompanied by Jackson Grimm

Alexa Rose · 8:15pm

Carolina songstress Alexa Rose crafts clever lyrics and boot-tapping mountain magic in her own brand of modern folk. Her band currently tours under the moniker, Alexa Rose & The Midnight Stringbird, and delivers heartfelt performances with stringed instruments and warm family-style harmonies.

Old Chevrolette Set · 9:00pm

This ain't no Jet-Set band! David Zoll and Laura Blackley perform old-school country duets (and play guitars) a la George and Tammy, Gram and Emmylou, and Loretta and Conway. Tom Pittman (host of WNCW’s Country Gold) plays pedal steel and the band is rounded out by a solid rhythm section comprised of Stephen Frankel on bass and Richard Foulk on drums. Vocal harmonies swimming in pedal steel that you can dance to. George and Tammy would be proud.

Lo Wolf

Lo Wolf writes and performs from her Asheville, NC home. Her latest recording, Country Pop Hit, has been called "equal parts timeless and modern" and she infuses poetry, praise, and grit into her original compositions. She is a classically trained harpist gone folk singer, and so yankee she's southern.
